I have been involved in running since the age of 11. I competed in middle distance and cross country at county level. I now enjoy Road Running, competing in distances ranging from 5km to Ultra Marathon. As to date I have completed over 50 Marathons and 3 Ultra Marathons, with a personal best time of 3 hours 3 minutes for the Marathon.
I started my coaching career in Football at the age of 20. Then I was fortunate to work for Ipswich Town Ladies, starting as a Community Coach before moving up to First Team Coach. For the last 8 years I have been coaching Athletes from the age of 9 upwards to help them achieve their goals over distances ranging from 800m to the Marathon. I coach athletes of all abilities and ages as I enjoy helping them to become the best that they can be. My passion for coaching has led me to become a British Athletics Tutor and Coach Assessor, where I take great pleasure in teaching others how to take on the role of Leadership or Coach.
My work as a Sports and Remedial Masseur helps me to understand how the body works and how to prevent injury. This knowledge has proved to be invaluable when coaching.
